Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Public Schools is committed to providing timely, relevant, and transparent public relations efforts to all stakeholders. In particular, the district's 2021 - 2026 Strategic Plan focuses on improving communication and
engagement with all stakeholders; building and maintaining a positive reputation within the community; and attracting innovative, quality staff to further the organization's mission and vision.
Beginning January 21, we invite WAO stakeholders to participate in an online stakeholder public relations survey to assess the district’s communication, branding, and marketing efforts. A unique survey for each of our four primary stakeholder groups – students, staff, parents/guardians, and community members – will be available online from January 21 – February 9, 2025.
How can the survey(s) be accessed?
- Parents/guardians will receive the link for the parent/guardian survey via email on Tuesday, January 21.
- Community members who are district residents will receive a postcard in the mail during the week of January 20; it will include both a link and a QR code to access the community member survey.
- Staff will receive the link for the staff survey via email on Monday, January 20. The staff survey will start a day earlier to provide them with time to complete it during that day’s teacher in-service.
- Students in grades 4 – 12 will complete the survey with assistance from their classroom teacher during the week of January 27. At the elementary level, students are asked age-appropriate questions regarding their feelings about Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Elementary School. At the secondary level, students are asked age-appropriate questions regarding their feelings, experiences, and perceptions of Warren-Alvarado-Oslo High School. Any parent/guardian wishing to view the student survey ahead of time or opt their child(ren) out from taking the survey, may contact their child’s school office by Monday, January 27.
Some stakeholders may be eligible to complete multiple surveys (i.e. a staff member who is also a district resident and a parent/guardian, a district resident who is also a parent/guardian, etc.). In these cases, the district encourages each stakeholder to complete each survey for which they are eligible.
Each survey is expected to take less than 10 minutes to complete. Each question is optional, and all responses are anonymous. Results from the survey are scheduled to be shared publicly in early spring.
Paper copies of the survey are available upon request; please visit or call the district office at (218) 745-5393 to request a copy.
We appreciate your continued support for Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Public Schools!
